Principal's Message

Principal's Message

Dear Firebaugh High School Community,

I hope that this message finds you and your family happy, healthy and safe as we welcome you back to school during this time of transition. While the COVID-19 pandemic has presented the education community with new challenges, Firebaugh High School administrators, teachers and staff remain committed to supporting you and your academic goals.  As we move into in-person instruction, we maintain our commitment to our students and the Lynwood community.

Firebaugh High School cultivates a school culture of pride and ownership that encourages our students to pursue their passions, reach their goals and live their purpose.  We strive to offer our students a world-class education with ample opportunities to explore their interests.

Many of our students have graduated and gone on to be accepted to Cal State campuses, UC, private and out-of-state colleges, as well as Ivy League schools. Firebaugh Falcons from the Class of 2021 have received full scholarships to many colleges and universities.

At Firebaugh, we offer Link Crew, a transitional program for freshmen that connects them with trained, 12th grade leaders who will guide them toward high school success. There are over 50 clubs offered at Firebaugh, including AVID college readiness, the International Baccalaureate Program and the National Honor Society. Our academic program also offers Career Technical Education (CTE, Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and Dual Enrollment courses.  Our campus also provides students with outstanding athletic facilities for fall, winter and spring sports.

My goal as principal is to ensure the success of every one of our students, which means providing the tools and support you will need to graduate ready for college and careers. Here at Firebaugh High School, we are committed to our students. The health and success of our students is our number one priority, and we look forward to welcoming you. Go Falcons!

Sincerely,

Jose Montes
