Advanced Placement
The Advanced Placement Program® (AP) at Firebaugh High School offers motivated and academically prepared students the opportunity to take college-level courses while still in high school.
AP courses challenge students with rigorous curriculum in subjects ranging from math and science to humanities and the arts, helping them develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
At the end of each course, students can take AP exams, which are scored on a scale of 1 to 5 by college professors and experienced AP teachers.
Many U.S. colleges and universities award college credit for scores of 3 or higher, giving students a head start on their higher education journey.
Through AP, Firebaugh students are empowered to push their academic limits, prepare for college success, and stand out in the admissions process.
