Next week, Lynwood Unified seniors will embark on the next chapter of their personal and academic journeys as they cross the stage to collect their diplomas, celebrate with loved ones and plan their futures. But before that milestone, they took a moment to inspire the next generation that will follow in their footsteps by visiting elementary and middle schools, walking through their halls one last time.
Wearing their caps and gowns, seniors from Lynwood and Firebaugh high schools walked through the campuses of nearby schools – including Mark Twain, Lindbergh, Helen Keller, Rosa Parks, Wilson, Will Rogers and Washington elementary schools, and Hosler and Cesar Chavez middle schools – to reflect on the past giving younger students a glimpse of their future.
During the Senior Grad Walk, the Class of 2024 walked through tunnels of students, who held signs, gave high-fives and congratulated the scholars on their accomplishments. Seniors also thanked former teachers and administrators for their positive influence.
