At Firebaugh High School, we believe in nurturing the whole student—and that includes providing vibrant opportunities in the visual and performing arts. Whether students are picking up an instrument, stepping onto the stage, or capturing stories on film, they’re encouraged to express themselves, explore their passions, and shine.
Performing Arts Programs
Our students take the spotlight in programs that encourage discipline, collaboration, and creative expression:

Award-Winning Band – Firebaugh is home to a marching, concert and jazz band. Recognized at state competitions and featured in local parades and events, our band is the pride of Firebaugh.

Theatre – From dramatic performances to student-led productions, our theatre program offers an immersive stage experience.
Visual Arts & Media

AP Studio Art – Students explore their creativity and develop a college-level portfolio in 2-D Design, 3-D Design, or Drawing. Through hands-on projects, students experiment, revise, and refine their skills — with the opportunity to earn college credit.

Film and Video Production – Students develop storytelling, filming, and editing skills to produce original work and multimedia content.

Our VAPA program builds creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking while preparing students for college, careers, and lifelong appreciation of the arts. Whether you're a beginner or a budding artist, there's a place for everyone to create and perform at Firebaugh High School.
