At Firebaugh High School, we believe every student deserves to start high school feeling safe, supported, and connected. That’s where Link Crew comes in.

Link Crew is more than just orientation—it’s a yearlong student-led transition program designed to ensure our freshmen feel welcomed and empowered from day one through the end of their 9th-grade year.

What Is Link Crew?

Link Crew connects incoming freshmen with trained junior and senior mentors who serve as role models, guides, and positive influences. These Link Leaders help freshmen navigate the academic and social challenges of high school with confidence. Whether it's answering questions, leading campus tours, or offering encouragement, Link Leaders make sure no Falcon starts high school alone.

Why It Matters

• Freshmen are the most at-risk group for academic failure and disengagement in high school.

• Students who feel connected and supported are more likely to attend class, earn passing grades, and graduate on time.

• Link Crew addresses freshmen's three biggest needs:
  🔒 Safety – Creating a welcoming environment free of bullying or isolation
  📚 Information – Providing clear guidance on school life, schedules, and opportunities
  🤝 Connection – Building relationships with peers and trusted upperclassmen

How Link Crew Supports Freshmen
