The Difference Between Enrollment and Data Confirmation

The Difference Between Enrollment and Data Confirmation

You may often hear the terms “enrollment” and “registration” (or Data Confirmation) and wonder which one applies to you.

At Lynwood Unified, enrollment only happens once — when a student is brand new to our District. Data Confirmation, on the other hand, is a required step that takes place every year, helping to ensure we have the most accurate and up-to-date information for your returning student — especially in case of an emergency.

New to Lynwood Unified?

If your child is joining Lynwood Unified for the first time — welcome!

You can begin the process by completing online enrollment. If you live outside the Lynwood Unified attendance boundaries, you will need to apply for a permit before completing enrollment.

Start the Enrollment Process

Once your student is enrolled, you will need to complete Data Confirmation beginning July 1 through the Aeries Parent Portal.

Returning Students

If your student is already enrolled in Lynwood Unified, you do not need to re-enroll. However, you must complete Data Confirmation for each student enrolled to verify and update your contact information.

Beginning July 1, 2025, you can start completing your Data Confirmation for the 2025–2026 school year.

Confirm Your Data in Aeries Parent Portal

These forms must be completed before your assigned registration/orientation day to ensure your student is ready for the year.
