Lynwood Unified INSPIRE Fair Connects Students to College and Career Pathways

Lynwood Unified hosted its 5th Annual INSPIRE College & Career Fair on February 6, bringing together students from Lynwood, Firebaugh and Vista high schools for a day focused on college and career planning, from meeting community college representatives to exploring potential careers in medicine.

Hosted at Firebaugh High School, the event connected students with college representatives, industry professionals and local employers, providing insight into a range of pathways, including community college, career technical education programs, internships and workforce opportunities. Representatives from Compton College, Cerritos College, Electrical Training Institute, East Los Angeles College and the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services were among those in attendance.

In addition to visiting vendor booths, students gained skills, including resume-building and LinkedIn best practices, and had an opportunity to get professional headshots taken by Lynwood High CTE photography students. These experiences provided practical tools to support students as they prepare for college, internships and employment.

The annual INSPIRE Fair reflects Lynwood Unified’s commitment to equipping students with the knowledge, skills and connections needed to succeed after graduation. By creating direct access to colleges and industry leaders, the District continues to expand opportunities and support students in identifying and pursuing their goals.
